College: Mary Washington, '02

Matt LeVangie returns to the Stonehill sidelines for his third season as an assistant men's basketball coach. During his first year, LeVangie helped guide the Skyhawks to a Northeast-10 Conference regular season title and the #1 seed in the Northeast Region entering the NCAA tournament.

Prior to Stonehill, LeVangie served as the associate head coach at Lasell College, where he helped lead the Lasers to back-to-back Great Northeast Athletic Conference titles and a 2008 NCAA tournament appearance. He was a four-year player at the University of Mary Washington and served as team captain during his senior season.

"Matt grew a tremendous amount as a coach during his first year with our program," comments head coach David McLaughlin. "He brings a solid amount of experience as his role continues to expand on our staff. Matt is instrumental in our self-scouting and computer editing. He also plays a key part in our recruiting and opponent scouting. His work ethic and passion for the game fit in well with our program."

A native of Scituate, Mass., LeVangie has a Bachelors of History and a Masters of Education, both from the University of Mary Washington.
