Skyhawks Look To Bounce Back At Bryant

North Easton, Mass. - Sitting at 5-6 overall and 3-3 in the Northeast-10, Stonehill hits the road in search of a victory when it invades Bryant for a Conference showdown with the host Bulldogs on Wednesday night.

The Skyhawks have lost consecutive games for the second this season with their most recent setback being a 79-45 defeat at the hands of the nation's No. 1 team, Bentley.

In its five wins, Stonehill is shooting 49 percent from the field, while holding opponents to just 38 percent. In its six losses however, the Skyhawks are allowing 49 percent from the field and in turn are only connecting on 41 percent of their shots.

How the Skyhawks defend the three-point shot also suffers in losses, as teams have made 62 in the losses and only 24 in the five wins.

No matter the result, save for their loss at Bentley, the Skyhawks do score points, led by a foursome of double digit scorers. Nick Smith (Colonia, N.J.) is tops on the team at 16.2 a game and he is closely followed by Matt Hall (Springfield, Mass.) at 15.3.

Both A.J. Rudowitz (Monroe Township, N.J.) and Vince Rosario (Perth Amboy, N.J.) are netting 11 each time out. Rudowitz, who also averages 6.4 rebounds, is the team's top free throw shooter at 91 percent.

Smith, Hall and Rosario, meanwhile, have combined to make 75 of the team's 96 three-pointers, a total that leads the Northeast-10.

That offensive output bodes well for Stonehill, as the Bulldogs are averaging a Conference-low 61.8 points per game.

After their tilt with Bryant, the Skyhawks have eight days off for finals before returning to the court on Thursday, December 20 for a 6 p.m. tip with Mercy.
