Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:

STONEHILL: The Skyhawks are off to their best start since December 1997 in winning five of their first six contests, as Stonehill's last 5-1 start came during its last NCAA tournament appearance during the 1997-98 campaign. The Skyhawks are 25-9 (.735) in their last 34 contests dating back to November 2004. Wednesday's triumph at defending Northeast-10 tournament champion Saint Anselm marked Stonehill's second straight victory over the Hawks at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium after a six-year winless skein in Manchester. Senior G Mike Lauricella (Norwood, N.J.) has established himself as an early candidate for Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year honors after holding Bentley's Tim Forbes and Saint Anselm's Matt Cahill to a combined 2-for-22 effort over the past 10 days. Lauricella, who led the league in assist-to-turnover ratio last season, ranks second in that category this winter. Senior G Chris Kraus (Markham, Ont.) tied his career high with 12 assists in Saturday's win over Le Moyne.
