North Easton, Mass. - Sophomore Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.) scored the game-winning goal 4:18 into extra time to lift Stonehill to a 2-1 win over visiting St. Anselm on Wednesday night at W.B. Mason Stadium.

With the win the Skyhawks improve to 13-3 overall and 10-2 in Northeast-10 action, while the Hawks drop to 5-9 overall and in NE-10 action.

Karrie Muma and Laura Urko teamed up to give St. Anselm an early lead when Muma recorded her third goal of the season, beating a diving Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.) a little more than seven minutes into the contest.

The score remained that way until midway through the second half when Stonehill converted one of their 17 penalty corners. Claire Hourihan (East Amherst, N.Y.) found the back of the cage off a feed from Aly Boulis (Lincoln, R.I.) to knot the score at 1-1.

Even with the Skyhawks holding the edge in shots (15-5) and penalty corners (17-4) they couldn't find the go ahead goal until Ladino ripped a hard, low shot between Riley Haddock's legs early in the extra session.

Ryder recorded three saves to pick up her 12th win of the season, while Haddock took the loss and falls to 5-9.

The Skyhawks return to action on Saturday when they host Bryant at 1 p.m. at W.B. Mason Stadium.
