Greenvale, N.Y. - C.W. Post scored two early first half goals and held on for a 2-1 win over Stonehill on Monday afternoon on Hickox Field.

The loss for Stonehill is their second in three games. They fell to No. 7 Bentley last Thursday and defeated Catawba on Sunday, both by identical 2-1 scores in overtime.

The Pioneers' Amanda Nann scored 15:14 into the contest to give the hosts a 1-0 advantage. C.W. Post's leading scorer, Amber Limanni, added her 20th tally of the season two minutes later to giving the Pioneers a 2-0 half time edge.

Midway through the second half, Stonehill got on the board with a goal from senior Caitlin Gleason (New Boston, N.H.) with help from sophomore Jackie Ladino (North Dartmouth, Mass.) but would get no closer.

Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.) made five saves for the Skyhawks while C.W. Post netminder Pam Guernaccini turned away two shots to earn the win.

The Pioneers held a considerable advantage in penalty corners (10-3) and shots (9-5).

Stonehill, now 12-3 overall, returns to W.B. Mason Stadium for three straight home matches beginning with St. Anselm on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
