EASTON, Mass.-- Senior Julie Michalos (Norwood, Mass.) netted a pair of goals, while junior All-America Kelly Latendresse (Sidney, Maine) added a goal and two assists to lead Stonehill to a 6-0 Northeast-10 Conference field hockey victory over Saint Anselm Thursday evening at W.B. Mason Stadium.

The host Skyhawks (2-0, 1-0 Northeast-10) christened their new home with their second straight shutout performance, as freshman Kerri Sullivan’s (Goffstown, N.H.) first collegiate goal just 5:43 into the contest staked Stonehill to a 1-0 lead at the break. Michalos extended the hosts’ advantage to 3-0 with a pair of goals that came in the 36th and 44th minutes of play, respectively, and junior Colleen McLaughlin’s (Methuen, Mass.) tally in the 53rd minute gave the Skyhawks a 4-0 cushion. Markers off the sticks of Latendresse and sophomore Aly Boulis (Lincoln, R.I.) that came 1:33 apart in the closing minutes of action accounted for the final score.

Sophomore Caitlin Gleason (New Boston, N.H.) added a pair of assists on the night for the winners, who also received a single helper off the stick of Sullivan. Sophomore Dani Ryder (Gloucester, Mass.), the reigning Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Week, picked up her second straight shutout triumph and 11th career blanking with one stop on the evening, while freshman Sarah Oakes (North Yarmouth, Maine) made 11 saves in goal for the visiting Hawks (0-1, 0-1 Northeast-10) in her collegiate debut (including a pair of penalty stroke saves in the first half) as the Skyhawks outshot Saint Anselm by a 23-1 margin for the match.

Stonehill heads to Rindge, N.H. on Saturday afternoon to take on Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 match that begins at Noon, while Saint Anselm hosts Assumption in a Northeast-10 outing on Saturday afternoon in Rindge, N.H. that begins at 11:00 a.m.
