Stonehill College junior football standout Sean Donahue has been selected as one of two punters to the 2006 Northeast-10 Conference first team all-conference squad for his efforts on the field this season. Additionally, Donahue was named yesterday to the 2006 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District team for his efforts in the classroom, as he is now eligible for selection to the 2006 CoSIDA National Academic All-America team that will be announced later this month.

A native of Plymouth, N.H. and a graduate of Plymouth High School, Donahue once again ranked among the league punting leaders for Head Coach Chris Woods's Skyhawks, as he averaged an even 38.0 yards on 68 attempts this fall, with a career-long kick of 63 yards coming on October 21st at Bentley. Donahue placed 15 punts inside the opponents' 20-yard line while registering six touchbacks and a pair of fair catches, and as Stonehill's placekicker he booted a career-high five field goals on the year, including a career-long 41-yarder in a 24-9 victory over Saint Anselm on October 7th.

A double major in Elementary Education and Mathematics at Stonehill, Donahue has posted a 3.38 cumulative grade point average through four semesters of matriculation at the College, as he earned a spot on the 2006 Northeast-10 Football Academic All-Conference squad as well. Sean is a three-time Stonehill Athletic Director's Honor Roll selection as well for his work in the classroom.
