Shortstop Vinnie Eruzione led off the game with a double, and following a fly ball out, scored the first run on a two-bagger from junior catcher Mike DeCoste. Two batters later, junior second baseman Charlie Pagliarulo hit the Falcons' third double of the inning, this one scoring DeCoste.

After junior center fielder Brett Damato led off the third with a single, Roche slammed his fifth homer of the season, making it a 5-0 game. Later in the inning, Jeff Eldridge picked up an RBI on a ground out, sophomore third baseman Ross Curley scored on a wild pitch, and Hardy delivered an RBI single.
