Previous College: Attended the University of Maine for his freshman year. Played baseball and was a scholar athlete.

High School:  2006 graduate of Bangor High School. Played for the varsity baseball and basketball teams his junior and senior years. Earned all-state accolades at first base. State Champion in 2006. National Honor Society member.

Personal:  Born on January 18, 1988 in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Son of Ed and Candi Hackett of Bangor, Maine. Has two siblings, Brian (23) and Amy (19). Brother plays baseball at University of Maine.  Sister, Amy, plays soccer and basketball at Bowdion College. His father played baseball at the University of Maine as well. Majors in marketing at Stonehill. Lists Alex Rodriguez as favorite athlete.
