EASTON, Mass.-- Junior Adam Pardo (Hanover, Mass.) went 2-for-3 and drove in three runs as Stonehill notched its sixth straight victory with a 10-3 Northeast-10 Conference baseball triumph over Saint Anselm Tuesday afternoon at Gorman Field.

The host Skyhawks (9-8, 5-0 Northeast-10) remained unbeaten in league play in jumping out to a 3-0 lead after two innings of action, plating a run in the first on an RBI groundout by senior Coley Lyons (West Roxbury, Mass.) and adding two more tallies in the second on an RBI triple off the bat of junior Matt Vaughn (Bow, N.H.) that was followed by an RBI single by junior Tom Aldrich (New Canaan, Conn.). Pardo's two-run single in the fourth extended the hosts' advantage to 5-0, and RBI safeties from Aldrich and Pardo in the sixth, followed by a Vaughn RBI single and a double play groundout, gave Stonehill a 9-0 cushion through seven. The visiting Hawks (8-11, 1-1 Northeast-10) plated all three of their runs with two out in the top of the eighth on an error and a two-run double by senior Ryan Call (Hopkinton, Mass.), and the Skyhawks closed out the scoring in the bottom of the frame on freshman Dave Migani's (Amity, Conn.) first collegiate hit, an RBI double.

Vaughn and Aldrich joined Pardo with two hits each, as the trio combined for six of Stonehill's 11 hits on the afternoon. Senior Joe Breen (Swampscott, Mass.) picked up his third win in as many decisions on the season for the Skyhawks, allowing six hits and no earned runs in eight innings of work with a career-high 11 strikeouts, as sophomore Mat Lindenmayer (Penfield, N.Y.) pitched a scoreless ninth for the hosts.

Senior Anthony Modoono (Lexington, Mass.) collected two of Saint Anselm's six hits on the day, as sophomore Josh Moore (Worcester, Mass.) took the loss on the mound for the Hawks, allowing three hits and five earned runs over 5 1/3 innings while walking six and fanning seven.

Stonehill and Saint Anselm meet again on Thursday afternoon in a Northeast-10 outing at Sullivan Park in Manchester, N.H. beginning at 3:00 p.m.
