SMITHFIELD, R.I.-- Junior Max Vigliotti's (Stamford, Conn.) RBI double in the top of the eighth snapped a 3-3 tie and lifted Stonehill to a 4-3 Northeast-10 Conference baseball victory over Bryant Wednesday afternoon at the Bryant Baseball Complex.

Vigliotti's two-bagger plated senior Coley Lyons (West Roxbury, Mass.) with the game-winning tally for the visiting Skyhawks (15-11, 10-3 Northeast-10), who have won four straight and six of their last seven outings since April 1st. Stonehill grabbed a 2-0 second inning edge when sophomore David Fradette (Goffstown, N.H.) singled and scored on senior T.J. Piscatelli's (Norfolk, Mass.) two-run homer (his first of the season), and the visitors extended their lead to 3-0 in the third on Fradette's RBI double that plated senior Sean Lawrence (New Rochelle, N.Y.).

The host Bulldogs (10-24, 8-7 Northeast-10) got on the board in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by senior Daryle Crowley (Danvers, Mass.), the first run allowed by Stonehill in 38-plus innings dating back to last Thursday, and Bryant evened matters with a pair of unearned runs in the seventh, as senior Paul Novakowski (Prospect, Conn.) stroked an RBI single and sophomore Jason Alexander (Simsbury, Conn.) scored on a passed ball, setting up Viglotti's heroics in the top of the eighth for Stonehill.

Vigliotti and Fradette each had two hits as part of Stonehill's eight-hit attack on the afternoon, while Crowley went 3-of-4 to account for nearly half of Bryant's hit total on the day. Senior All-America Billy Sittig (West Roxbury, Mass.) went the distance to pick up the win on the mound for Stonehill, as he scattered seven hits and allowed just one earned run while fanning nine, including the 250th strikeout of his career, to improve to 4-2 on the season. Sophomore Adam Vuolo (Walpole, Mass.) suffered the setback on the mound in relief for Bryant, allowing one unearned run and striking out three in two innings to fall to 2-3 on the season.

The Skyhawks and Bulldogs meet again in a non-league contest on Thursday afternoon at the Bryant Baseball Complex beginning at 3:30 p.m.
