A 1989 graduate,
Mary Naughton is the all-time leading scorer with
2,144 points. In 1987-88, Mary led Division II nationally with 25.8
points per game, which is still the all-time Stonehill season
record. She scored 799 points, which broke the NCAA Division II
national record at the time. Mary was an All-American selection and
was the Northeast-10 Conference and ECAC Player of the Year. She
was also selected the Female Athlete of the Year in New England by
the college sports writers. She set the single-game record with 38
points against Florida Atlantic University. In her career, the
Worcester native averaged 18 points a game in 119 games. She had
682 career rebounds for an average of 5.7 per game and was also
credited with 144 assists. She started all four years and was one
of the most explosive scorers in New England at any division. Her
No. 14 jersey has been retired.
