Roland Fiore, who graduated in 1983, played for the late Head Coach Tom Folliard’s men’s basketball squads in the early days of the Northeast-7.  He is honored for both his basketball accomplishments and his many contributions to the continued success of athletics at the College. Fiore, the Most Valuable Player in Stonehill’s run to the Northeast-7 tournament crown in 1981, averaged 11.4 points and 6.3 rebounds during his three-year career, including 13.1 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game during his sophomore campaign that saw him earn all-Northeast-7 accolades. During his sophomore and junior seasons, the Skyhawks posted back-to-back undefeated marks in conference play and advanced to the NCAA Division II tournament.
