Leo Denault graduated in 1961, scoring 1,398
points, good for tenth all-time. Having played four years at
Stonehill, Leo was named All-Conference for three years, including
his senior year and led his team to the NAIA championship game in
both his junior and senior years. He had a career average of 23
points per game, and holds a Stonehill record for most points in a
half (30 vs. Mass. Maritime) and once held the record for points in
a game (38 vs. Babson). In 1957, he had the honor of playing
against Marquis Haynes and the famous Harlem Magicians.
Since 1964, Deneault has been
employed by the IMB Corporation. His love for the game of
basketball didn’t end once he graduated as he also officiated
varsity high school basketball for 15 years. He and his wife Ginger
live in New York with their three daughters.
