Originally from Easton, Mass. and a graduate of Oliver Ames High School, Beth Aries was a two sport starter at Stonehill, playing basketball and tennis. Beth was a four year starter for the College and led the team in scoring and rebounding her junior and senior years. In 1976, Ares led the women's basketball team to its first ever championship, capturing the MAIAW Division III Title. Beth ended her career with 993 points. If it were not for the blizzard of '78, which forced the cancellation of three games, she would easily become a member of the 1,000 Point Club. In the spring Aries played second singles for the Women's Tennis team.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stonehill and from Notre Dame where she received her Master's Degree.
