Three From Women's Soccer Named To CSC All-District

EASTON, Mass. (November 15, 2022)- Three Stonehill College women's soccer student-athletes -- seniors Lauren ClementHannah Guidi, and Peyton Nickerson -- were named to the 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team. 

All three Skyhawks garnered the honor for the first time, moving forward onto the national ballot with the Academic All-America teams to be announced at the end of November.

Clement is an NE10 Academic Honor Roll recipient and will graduate with a degree in health science and a minor in psychology. The senior forward started in all 17 matches played and scored a career-high six goals, including the game-winner against Fairleigh Dickinson to end the season. Clement has appeared in 38 career matches (started in 33) and recorded 22 points with 10 goals and two assists. In her career, she was also a member of the NEWISA All-New England Second Team and All-NE10 Third Team.

Guidi is a two-time Dean's List recipient and has been placed on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll and is set to graduate with a degree in political science and a minor in Spanish. Off the pitch, she is a member of the Boston University Army ROTC program. The Albany, N.Y., native started in nine matches in 2022. In her four seasons with the Purple and White, Guidi appeared in 44 matches (started in 26) and has seven points with two goals and three assists.

Nickerson is a four-time Dean's List and NE10 Academic Honor Roll honoree while also being a member of the Moreau Honors Program. She is set to graduate with a degree in Biology with a minor in healthcare administration this spring. When she's not on the field, she is heavily involved in the Pre-Health Society Club as the secretary, Vice President of the Make-A-Wish Club, SAAC Women's Soccer Representative, and a Moreau Honors Mentor. The York, Maine native started in all 18 matches and scored one goal which was the game-winner versus Howard for the program's first Division I win. In her four seasons as a Skyhawk, Nickerson appeared in 48 matches (started in 46) and has nine points with four goals and one assist.

To be eligible, nominated student-athletes must be a starter or important reserve with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade-point average in her second year at the current institution and must have played in at least 50 percent of the team's games.

About College Sports Communicators

College Sports Communicators (CSC) was founded in 1957 and is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada. The current name of the organization was adopted following a membership-wide vote on Aug. 31, 2022.

From its founding in 1957 until the 2022 name change, the organization was known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The name change signaled a major step in a larger strategic plan to highlight the association's evolution and expansion. The move better aligns with the association's membership makeup and further positions the organization to support and advocate for its members who serve in the communications, digital and creative college sports industry, regardless of position or title.

The organization, which celebrated its 65th year during the 2021-22 academic year, is the second oldest management association in all of intercollegiate athletics. College Sports Communicators became an affiliated partner with NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) in December of 2008.
