Baldwin, N.Y., native earns All-Conference honors for first time
Stryker, who earns postseason honors for the first time with her selection, started all 46 games at shortstop for Stonehill this season, batting in the leadoff spot every game. She hit a team-best .384 (63-for-164), ninth in the NE-10 for batting average, fifth for hits, with a team-high 29 runs scored, six doubles, a triple, 16 RBI and five stolen bases. Stryker slugged .433 and posted a team-high .423 on-base percentage to go with a .927 fielding percentage. She reached base 41.9-percent (31-for-74) of her opportunities when leading off an inning, hitting .359 (14-for-39) with runners in scoring position, converting 62.5%
(5-8) of her chances with a runner on third and less than two out, while successfully advancing base-runners 58.2% (39-67) of the time. Stryker led the Skyhawks with 22 multiple hit games, finished third with seven two-out RBI and also notched four multi-RBI outings.
Stryker batted a team-high .407 (44-for-108) in NE-10 play this season, posting 17 runs scored, four doubles and 12 RBI. She hit safely in each of the last seven games of the season to go with an eight game hitting streak earlier in the year. Stryker was a combined 6-for-9 with a double, two runs scored and three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Bentley University on April 18, including 4-for-5 with a double, RBI and run scored in the 12-4 game two win. She drove in three runs in a 5-4 victory over Southern New Hampshire University on April 3.
Stryker has started all 126 games over her three year career at Stonehill and has posted a .335 (141-for-421) batting average, 70 runs scored, ten doubles, a triple, 30 RBI and a program-record 31 stolen bases. Her career batting average is currently good for fifth in program history, while she also ranked among career leaders for at bats (7th), hits (7th) and runs scored (7th) heading into her final collegiate season. Stryker became the program's career stolen base leader with her steal in a 6-2 win over Adelphi University on April 29.
Stonehill wrapped up its season with an 18-28 record overall, including a 14-16 mark in Northeast-10 play. The Skyhawks were 6-6 this season against the six remaining teams in this weekend's NE-10 Championships, including a sweep of fifth-seeded University of Massachusetts Lowell. Stonehill dropped nine one-run games, going 6-9 overall in those games decided by just a run.
