Grant Earns NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week Honors

EASTON, Mass. (March 5, 2019) – Stonehill College junior Bailey Grant has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Goalkeeper of the week for women's lacrosse by the league office.

Grant earns NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week honors for the third time in her career after posting an 8.00 goals against average, with nine saves per game over 90-minutes in a 2-0 week for Stonehill. She opened the week with six first half saves, conceding just three goals, in Tuesday's 17-5 win over St. Thomas Aquinas College. Grant made five of her season-high 12 saves in the second half of Friday's 13-9 win over Molloy College, yielding just three goals after halftime as the Skyhawks broke a 6-6 halftime deadlock in the win as Grant played all 60 minutes.

Bailey has started all three games for Stonehill so far this season, playing 120 of the team's 180 minutes in goal, posting a 6.50 goals against average and .594 save percentage, with 6.3 saves per game, posting a 3-0 record. She leads the NE10 in GAA and save percentage among goalies with over 100-minutes played, ranking sixth in saves per game.

Grant previously earned NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week honors once as a freshman and sophomore, being named to the NE10 All-Rookie team following her freshman season. She has started 32 of her 34 games played in her career, posting a 10.90 goals against average and .417 save percentage, with 244 saves in 1,877:22, posting a 19-13 career win-loss record. Bailey ranks sixth in program history for career saves and seventh in wins.

Stonehill (3-0, 0-0 NE10) is back in action on Thursday, when it opens its NE10 schedule at Assumption College at 1 p.m. The Skyhawks return home next Tuesday, April 12, to host American International College at 3:30 p.m.
