The Penmen, ranked first in the D2SIDA East Regional poll, saw their eight-game winning streak to begin the year snapped as they tie the 1988-89 team for the best start to a season ever. Freshmen Kylie Lorenzen and Brianna Camara each scored 10 points, while grabbing five and six rebounds, respectively. Fellow freshman Aaliyah Paxton finished with seven points and four boards, while sophomore Jennifer Shelp posted seven points, five boards and a pair of blocks. The Penmen turned it over 19 times and shot a season-low 32.8 percent (20-61) from the field, including 0-for-14 from beyond the arc.
