Siaba leads Skyhawks with All-Region honors in three events

USTFCCCA Announces 2020 Indoor Track & Field All-Region Honors

EASTON, Mass. (March 27, 2020) – Three members of the Stonehill College men's track & field program, ranked seventh in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region rankings, have earned a combined five indoor All-East Region honors from the USTFCCCA, the organization announced. The awards recognize each region's top five performers in individual events and top three teams in relay events.

Sophomore multi-athlete Michael-Ange Siaba, the Most Outstanding Field Athlete at the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, headlines Stonehill's honorees by earning All-Region honors in three events. He set two school-records at the NE10 Championships, totaling 4,666 points in his third-place finish in the heptathlon and recording a school-record distance of 23-feet, 1.75-inches in his second-place finish in the long jump at the event. Siaba also finished second in the triple jump with his season-best distance (46-6.75) at the NE10 Championships.

Junior Ethan Famiano and sophomore Nickolas McNamee also earn All-East Region honors for Stonehill. Famiano earns All-Region honors for the 60-meter hurdles for the second time in his career with his season-best 8.44-second effort at the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships, giving him three All-Region honors for his career. McNamee earned All-East Region honors for the one mile run for the second-straight year, posting a personal-best time of 4:12.21 at the Boston University Last Chance Meet, giving him five All-Region honors over his first two seasons across the cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field seasons, overall, including three for indoor track & field.

Stonehill finished its 2019-20 season having posted a fifth-place team finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship, led by five All-NE10 performances.
