EASTON, Mass. (October 6, 2010) – Two members of the Stonehill College men's tennis team earned weekly honors from the Northeast-10 Conference. Senior Tim Fayed (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) was named the NE-10's Player of the Week, while freshman Nick Hyzak (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) earned Rookie of the Week honors from the league office.

Fayed, who earns Player of the Week honors for the first time this season (ninth career), posted a combined 4-0 record in singles and doubles play in leading Stonehill to a pair of wins over the weekend. He was 2-0 at both No. 1 singles and doubles for the Skyhawks, opening with a 6-1, 6-0 singles victory in Saturday's 8-1 win over Salve Regina University after combining with Hyzak for a 9-7 doubles victory. Fayed posted a 6-4, 6-0 singles win in Sunday's 9-0 sweep of Curry College after he and Hyzak notched an 8-3 doubles win.
