How it Happened

  • Stonehill scored on its first eight possessions, building a 41-0 lead after a quarter of play on its way to a 55-0 margin at the half and was never threatened.
  • Stonehill opened the scoring less than a minute into the game, turning a Mulumba interception on the second play of the game that he returned to the one, into a Corbett one yard plunge two plays after.
  • Stonehill added two more touchdowns within a 13-second span, both off turnovers, as Carraha connected with senior Chase Conrad for a 44-yard touchdown pass down the middle five plays after the Skyhawks recovered a Post fumble, and then Corbett added his second touchdown of the day one play after fifth-year Kevin Porch scooped up a fumble on the ensuing kick return and returned the ball to the three-yard line.
  • Junior quarterback Matt Arvanitis got a chance to show what he could do on Stonehill's next possession and turned a broken play into a 54-yard touchdown run – the first of his career – for a 28-0 lead with 6:13 still to play in the first quarter.
  • Junior Tom Comella recovered a blocked punt in the end zone for his first of two touchdowns on the afternoon for a 35-0 Stonehill lead with 5:22 to play in the first and then Domercant capped the first quarter scoring with his first of two consecutive touchdown catches, this a 17-yard score from Carraha with 41-seconds remaining in the first for a 41-0 advantage.
  • Domercant added his second touchdown off a 39-yard Carraha pass with 5:43 remaining in the second quarter, before sophomore Jarel Washington capped the first half scoring with a 52-yard touchdown scamper with 3:43 left.
  • Corbett capped his three-touchdown day with a 37-yard rush on the opening possession of the second half, before junior Cameron Alves collected a 38-yard touchdown pass from Carraha and then Comella capped the scoring with a three-yard rush with 2:28 to play in the third.
