Duarte tallied the lone RBI for the Skyhawks
LAKE WORTH, Florida (February 28, 2020) – The Stonehill College baseball team fell to Bentley University, 3-1, in non-conference play at the Santaluces Sports Complex on Friday night.
Key Moments:
- The Falcons scored the first run of the game in the bottom of the third after the Skyhawks left two on base in the top of the frame. With two outs and one on, Bentley saw two singles to drive in Max Troiani from second for a 1-0 lead.
- Luke Marshall retired three-straight, for the first time in the game off of a strikeout, ground out and line out, in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Skyhawks then bounced off his energy as Mike Maher reached first on a single through the left side with one out. Rob Duarte connected on a pitch and sent the ball to left field for a RBI double tying the game at one, 1-1.
- Stonehill left one on in the top of the sixth as Marshall retired another three-straight on a ground out, and two strikeouts in the bottom of the frame.
- Following a pitching change in the bottom of the seventh, Eddie Magi retired two straight, but the Falcons prevailed with back-to-back singles and a walk to load the bases. Tim Zupkus then reached on an error as the runners moved around the base where two scored for a Bentley lead, 3-1.
- Stonehill stranded three runners combined in the eighth and ninth innings as they weren't able to get past Bentley's pitching.

Notables:
- Duarte tallied his first double of the season and second RBI of the season, while O'Halloran also recorded his first double of the season.
- John Orzechowski stole his first base of the season and 41st of his career.
