Stonehill Raises $750 for Haiti Relief Fund at Wednesday's Basketball Doubleheader

Donation added to fund created through College's Office of Campus Ministry for Congregation of Holy Cross

EASTON, Mass. (January 21, 2010) - Stonehill College has announced that it raised $750 for a Haiti Relief Fund at Wednesday night's basketball doubleheader against American International College in Merkert Gymnasium.

The donatation has been added to a fund created through Stonehill's Office of Campus Ministry for the Congregation of Holy Cross. The athletic department donated all gate and program receipts from last night's Northeast-10 doubleheader, while accepting additional donations as well throughout the night. Office of Campus Ministry will forward the funds to the Holy Cross Mission Center at the University of Notre Dame where 100-percent will be transferred to the Congregation's relief efforts in Haiti.

Donations are still being accepted through Stonehill's Office of Campus Ministry. Additional information on the Congregation of Holy Cross' efforts in Haiti can be read by clicking here. There is information on how to continue to make donations at the bottom of the story at that link.
