Stonehill Duo Receives NE-10 Honors
Easton Mass - Freshman Michelle Thornhill (Canyon Lake, Calif.) has been named the freshman of the week for the second consecutive week and sophomore Laura Noonan () was named to the NE-10 honor roll as announced by the conference on Monday.
Thornhill was a dual threat over the weekend for the Skyhawks, leading the team in kills, with 37 and also added a team high 28 digs in their three wins against Colby Sawyer, Wheaton and Connecticut College.
Noonan's hot hitting on Saturday against both Wheaton and Connecticut College led Stonehill to 3-0 sweeps over the two squads. The sophomore had 18 kills and one error on just 23 attacks, leading the team with a .739 hitting percentage.
The Skyhawks are 6-0 and off to their best start in over a decade. Stonehill plays at Tufts on Tuesday and then heads to Le Moyne this weekend for four matches.
