NEW HAVEN, Conn.-- Senior Doree Blanco (Warwick, R.I.) notched 15 kills to lead Stonehill to a 3-0 Northeast-10 Conference volleyball victory over Southern Connecticut Saturday afternoon by identical game scores of 30-26, 30-26 and 30-26 in a league match played at Pelz Gymnasium.

Senior Kathleen Riley (Melrose, Mass.) added six kills in the triumph for the visiting Skyhawks (8-18, 5-8 Northeast-10), while fellow seniors Mollie Babcock (Gilford, N.H.) and Liane Kilmain (Mattapoisett, Mass.) combined for 25 set assists on the day for Stonehill.

Senior Jen Bolinao (New Haven, Conn.) paced the host Owls (7-18, 2-11 Northeast-10) with 11 kills, while freshman Jen Frohman (Woodbridge, Conn.) added 16 digs for Southern Connecticut in the setback.

Stonehill will be idle until Tuesday, November 8th when the Skyhawks close out regular season play by hosting rival Bentley in a Northeast-10 outing at Merkert Gymnasium, while Southern Connecticut closes out its 2005 slate next Saturday afternoon by heading to Colchester, Vt. to take on Saint Michaels in a Northeast-10 match that begins at 2:00 p.m.
