North Easton, Mass. - Senior guard Erika Stupinski (Topsham, Maine) and sophomore Megan Methven (Corning, N.Y.) were two of 15 student-athletes to be named to the Northeast-10 Women's Basketball All-Academic Team it was announced by the Conference office on Wednesday.

Stupinski, a management major with a 3.70 grade point average, earned first-team accolades, while Methven, a mathematics concentrator with a 3.25 average received third-team honors.

The Northeast-10 leader in assists at 7.5 per game, Stupinski is coming off of back-to-back games of nine assists. Already the holder of the school's single-game assist mark (15), she has four double-digit assist games this season. She does the job on the defensive end as well, ranking third in the Conference in steals at 2.7 swipes per game. In the 17 games she has appeared in this season, she has eight games with four or more steals.

Methven, meanwhile, has established herself as one of the most dangerous three-point shooters in the Northeast-10. Stonehill's second-leading scorer at 12.3 points per game, she leads the Conference in three-pointers made (50) and makes per game (2.7). In her last two games, she has made 10 of her 19 attempts and is fourth in the Northeast-10 in three point percentage (.403). Already the school record holder for triples made in a game (8), she ranks sixth on the school's all-time list (126).

Ranked No. 23 in the latest USA Today/ESPN Poll, the Skyhawks are 14-4 overall and 10-3 in Northeast-10 action. They return to action on Saturday when they travel to Pace for a 1:30 p.m. start.

To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 All-Academic Teams are chosen by a vote of the Northeast-10 Sports Information Directors.
