Through Daryl's Eyes: On To The Semis

Through Daryl's Eyes: On To The Semis

Happy game day! You may already have your purple (or pink) Stonehill shirt and your Mardi Gras beads on and as a super fan you know first hand that game preparation (and the face paint application) doesn't start as the first buzzer goes off, it starts from the minute you get up.

It's 9:00 am do you know where your team is? Downstairs at the all you can eat buffet, obviously.  As Bryant walks into the continental breakfast at the same time the mood suddenly shifts. 4 hot breakfast choices, 2 opposing teams, one buffet line. This is where the pre-pregame truly starts.

Eat to win ladies.

Next it's off to film in Coach Brown's room.  After reviewing Bryant's plays, defense, and player tendencies, its time to pull out the big guns. Senior inspiration.

Meg, Stu and I decided to take a token of our past success and use it to propel our team forward into the NCAA tournament. We took our NE-10 Championship net and made a bracelet for everyone from each strand of it. To us it serves as a tangible symbol of everything we have and hope to accomplish this season. By each of us having a piece of the whole it reminds us that we did not get where we are alone. (Creative and athletic, who would have thought?)

11:30am-After our first meeting its time to begin all of our pregame rituals. Sorry guys, if I told you I'd have to kill you. Plus you couldn't handle the truth.

1:00pm- GAME TIME!!

Hi mom.

3:00pm - Celebration! After a 67-58 win over Bryant its time to scout the Franklin Pierce vs. Dominican game.

One thing you may not know about our team is the intense groupie problem that we face.

Watch out for these guys, they just can't seem to get enough.

5:30pm- Back at the hotel some Chieftains (and our #1 fans) offer up some valuable advice to the team. Crush, kill, destroy?

Get'em girls!

8:15pm- After a great post game dinner (hand delivered, might I add) its time to start to unwind and think about tomorrow and the task at hand.

See you tomorrow! Later Girl!
