North Easton, Mass. - The busiest stretch of the early portion of the 2007-08 season begins on Saturday for Stonehill with a road trip to New Jersey to face regional foe Caldwell.

After starting the season at the Assumption College Marriott Courtyard Classic last weekend, and the Northeast-10 opener against Southern New Hampshire on Tuesday, the Skyhawks will play three games in seven days, including back-to-back conference games on Wednesday and Saturday.

Stonehill enters the matchup with the Cougars at 3-0 with an average margin of victory of 30.7 points per game. They are coming off of an 87-50 win over the Penmen, a game that saw them put five different players in double figures.

The return of junior Kelsey Simonds (Middleboro, Mass.) and senior Erika Stupinski (Topsham, Maine) have played a huge role in the three-game winning streak.

Simonds scored a career-high 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in a win over Molloy and then notched another double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in the SNHU victory.

Stupinski is averaging 7.7 assists and 4.7 steals thus far, highlighted by an 11-assist, five steal performance against the Penmen.

Freshman Kristen McWhirter (Melvin Village, N.H.) is the team's second leading scorer at 13.7 points per game and is shooting 63 percent from behind the arc.

As a team, Stonehill is shooting 49 percent from the field while holding its opponents to 32 percent. The Skyhawks are controlling the boards in a major way, with a +15 average.

After Saturday's game with the Cougars, Stonehill visits UMass-Lowell on Wednesday before their first home game of the year next Saturday when Franklin Pierce invades Merkert Gymnasium.
