WALTHAM, Mass.-- Senior Shannon Kirwan (Melrose, Mass.) scored 12 points and dished off seven assists as all five Bentley starters reached double figures in a 76-49 Northeast-10 Conference women's basketball victory over 21st-ranked Stonehill Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center.

The host Falcons (18-6, 13-6 Northeast-10) trailed by six (12-6) early in the contest but scored 15 straight points as part of a 29-12 run over the final 14:49 of the first half to grab a 35-24 lead at the break. Bentley then scored 17 of the first 24 points after intermission to extend its advantage to 21 points at 52-31 with 12:35 remaining before the visiting Skyhawks (17-7, 12-7 Northeast-10) scored nine unanswered points to close back to within 12 at 52-40 on a lay-in by senior Alisha Collins (Port Chester, N.Y.) with 8:58 remaining. The Falcons pulled away with a 17-4 run over the next 4:55 of action to take a 25-point lead at 69-44 with 4:03 to play en route to gaining a split of the season series between the two squads.

Junior Erica Kirwan (North Kingstown, R.I.) added 11 points and seven rebounds in the win for Bentley, which also received 11 points from sophomore Kristy McLean (Staten Island, N.Y.). Senior Lauren Moore (Nashua, N.H.) netted 10 points, including the 1,000th of her career, for the Falcons, who also received 10 points from junior Vanessa Lux (Arundel, Maine). Sophomore Angela Manfredi (Burton, Ohio) chipped in with eight assists and four points for the winners, who tied the school single-game record by shooting 66 percent from the field overall and canning six three-pointers while holding a 34-26 rebounding advantage and a 40-22 scoring edge in the paint.

Senior Caitlin Kennedy (Baldwin, N.Y.) and junior Daryl Cioffi (New Milford, N.J.) each netted nine points in the setback for Stonehill, which also received eight points from Collins as well as six points, six rebounds, four assists and four steals from senior Tiffany Huggins (Stoughton, Mass.). Senior Kim Morast (Bridgewater, Mass.) and sophomore Bethany Tighe (North Easton, Mass.) added six points each for the Skyhawks, who shot just 29 percent from the field overall, including a 3-for-23 effort from behind the arc.

Stonehill heads to Manchester, N.H. on Wednesday evening to take on Southern New Hampshire in a Northeast-10 outing that tips-off at 5:30 p.m., while Bentley hosts 15th-ranked American International in a Northeast-10 match-up on Wednesday evening at the Dana Center that also begins at 5:30 p.m.
