Northeast-10 Weekly Notes:

STONEHILL: Stonehill, which moved up eight spots in the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA Division II national poll to #17 in the rankings last week, has matched its best start in 11 years with its 13-0 overall mark, as the 1994-95 NCAA Final Four squad also won its first 13 outings of the season...Stonehill's national ranking is its highest in eight years, and the last time the Skyhawks cracked the top 20 came in November 1998...Thursday's win over 13th-ranked American International in the battle of Northeast-10 unbeatens was Stonehill's second of the season over a nationally-ranked foe, as the Skyhawks bested then 11th-ranked Bentley back on November 22nd. Thursday's victory was also Stonehill's 44th in 58 series meetings with the Yellow Jackets and ended a nine-game AIC series win streak that dated back to 2000. Freshman F Kelsey Simonds (Bridgewater, Mass.) has recorded her career-highs in points (25), rebounds (18) and blocks (six) in both match-ups with Bryant this season. Simonds matched her career-high blocks mark in Thursday's win over American International. Junior G Kim Morast (Bridgewater, Mass.) netted a career-high 21 points in Saturday's win at Bryant. Stonehill's 8-0 Northeast-10 start is its best in nine years, as the Skyhawks began the 1996-97 campaign at 11-0 in conference play. Saturday's victory was Stonehill's 42nd in 57 series meetings with Bryant. Stonehill is now 54-1 in its last 55 games when holding an opponent to 59 or fewer points following Thursday's triumph over American International, as that streak dates back to February 2001.
