BETHLEHEM, Pa. (September 30, 2023) - The Stonehill men's cross-country team competed in the Paul Short Run at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday afternoon, as three Skyhawks finished in the top-100.
The Skyhawks came in 13th place as a team, compiling 451 points with a field of 47 teams being eligible in the final standings for the men's 8K race.
Highlights
- Fifth-year Colin Black (Hopedale, Mass./Hopedale) had the highest finish for Stonehill, crossing the finish line in 38th place out of 400 runners with a time of 25:41.2.
- Junior Jace Hollenbach (Topsham, Maine/Mt. Ararat) set a new personal best for the second week in a row, this time in the 8K when he finished the race in 25:21.6 for a 68th place finish.
- Fifth-year runner Reilly Johnston (East Providence, R.I./Saint Raphael Academy) came in 78th place, clocking in at 25:54.2 as the third Skyhawk to cross the finish line.
Other Performances
- Senior Patrick Garrett (Westwood, Mass./Westwood) was the fourth Stonehill runner to finish the race with a time of 26:24.8.
- Freshman Brendan Wilder (Waltham, Mass./Waltham) ran in his second collegiate 8K, finishing in 26:34.6 as the fifth-fastest Skyhawk.
