Mike Quinn is entering his third year as an assistant coach with the Stonehill College men's basketball program.

Quinn joins Stonehill following a standout four year career at Northeast-10 Conference rival Bentley University, where he was a four-year starter for head coach Jay Lawson. Quinn was part of a nationally-ranked Falcons squad that captured three NE-10 regular season titles and made four NCAA Tournament appearances, reaching the Final Four on two occasions. He was part of Bentley's 2007-08 squad that posted a program-record 34-1 overall record, including a perfect 22-0 clip in NE-10 play, en route to the NCAA Division II semifinal round.

"Our program is very fortunate with the addition of Mike Quinn as a full-time assistant coach," said McLaughlin, who will be entering his ninth season with the program. "As our past teams played against Mike, it was evident that he had a high basketball IQ and great feel for the game on both ends of the floor. His leadership qualities were evident as well, and the way he carried himself commanded respect. Combine this with his experience and knowledge of the Northeast-10, as well as a very solid work ethic, and we are getting a tremendous addition to our staff and wonderful resource for our current student-athletes."

In helping lead Bentley to a four year record of 110-23, Quinn finished his career ranked first in program history with 133 games started and 4,299 minutes played. He led the Falcons in minutes each of his last three seasons and also ranks second in program history for career games played (133), third in steals (190) and eighth in steals per game (1.4). Quinn became the 48th Falcon in program history to score 1,000 career points, finishing with 1,062 – good for 38th all-time.

Quinn gained valuable coaching and administrative skills while serving as assistant camp director at the Bentley Basketball Camp the summers of 2005 through 2010.

A native of Oakdale, Conn., Quinn recently earned his Master of Science degree in financial planning from Bentley's McCallum Graduate School of Business in May. He is also a 2010 cum laude graduate of Bentley with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. Quinn was a member of the University's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and earned NE-10 Academic All-Conference honors four times.
