Patrick Lee is entering his second season as volunteer assistant coach for the Stonehill men's basketball program following a prolific playing career for head coach David McLaughlin.

Lee was part of a senior class at Stonehill that graduated with a program-best four year record of 92-31 (.848), four straight NCAA Tournament bids and a pair of NE-10 championships. He was named the Northeast-10 Defensive Player of the Year and All-NE-10 third team selection as a senior and also earned All-Tournament team honors at both the NCAA Division II East Regional and NE-10 Tournament. Lee helped lead the Skyhawks to their first NE-10 Tournament Championship in 23 years last March before going on to capture the second East Regional crown in program history en route to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight where they advanced to the national semifinal round.

“I am both thrilled as well as very fortunate that Patrick has decided to join our staff following his very stellar career at Stonehill," said McLaughlin. "His combination of leadership skills, basketball IQ, playing experience, and winning mentality will translate very well in his new position. He is someone that our players will be able to look up to as well as use as a barometer of how to approach things with a winning attitude. Patrick comes from a basketball family and we are excited he will begin to extend that tradition within the Stonehill Family.”

Lee played 84 games over his four year career, the last two as a starter, and finished with 892 points and 694 rebounds. He was named the Fr. John McCarthy, CSC, Leadership Award at the Stonehill athletic department's annual Senior Student-Athlete Awards Dinner in May. Lee had another highlight moment over his career when his game-winning three-pointer in overtime from just inside halfcourt at Le Moyne in January 2011 was featured as the "Top Play" on ESPN's SportsCenter.

Lee, a native of Fayetteville, N.Y., graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in psychology from Stonehill in May. His father, Michael Lee was a collegiate coach at Le Moyne from 1979-93.
