School. Four-year letterwinner for coach Bob Brown, serving as team
captain during junior and senior seasons. Two-time team MVP. Named
conference Player of the Year as a senior. Averaged 16 points and
seven rebounds per game. Three-time All-State and All-Southern
Maine Athletic Association selection. Member of the Western Maine
Class A Championship team in 2002-03. Member of three SMAA
Conference Championship teams. Named SMAA Rookie of the Year and
was an All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman. Member of the
National Honor Society.
Personal: Born August 15, 1987, Portland,
Maine. Son of Kristina and Dan Costigan of South Portland. Has two
siblings, Nick (24), and Colleen (19). Majoring in education
studies. Volunteers with the Brockton Mentoring Program. Greatest
sports moment was winning back-to-back Western Maine Class A
Championships. Father, Dan, played basketball and football and ran
track at University of Maine from 1982-84. Supports the Boston
Celtics and lists favorite athlete as Michael Jordan.
