North Easton, Mass. - Sophomore forward A.J. Rudowitz (Monroe Township, N.J.) has been named to the Northeast-10 Men's Basketball All-Academic Team it was announced by the Conference office on Wednesday.

An undecided concentrator with a 3.34 grade point average, Rudowitz is third on the team in scoring at 11.9 points per game and ranks first on the squad in rebounding (6.0).

He is one of only four players in the Northeast-10 to shoot better than 52 percent from the field and better than 82 percent from the free throw line.

Rudowitz has come on strong as of late, averaging 13.6 points, 6.4 rebounds while shooting 55 percent from the floor in his last five contests. In 48 career games, he has seven double-doubles, including three this season.

Rudowitz and the Skyhawks are 13-7 overall, 9-4 in the Northeast-10. They return to action on Saturday when they travel to Pace for a 3:30 p.m. start.

To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 All-Academic Teams are chosen by a vote of the Northeast-10 Sports Information Directors.
