EASTON, Mass.-- Junior Ryan Williams (Centreville, Va.) scored 26 points to lead three players in double figures as Pace posted a 99-72 Northeast-10 Conference men's basketball victory over Stonehill Saturday afternoon at Merkert Gymnasium.

The visiting Setters (13-10, 9-6 Northeast-10) jumped out to a pair of nine point first half leads before settling for a 42-35 advantage at the break, and Pace expanded that margin to 11 points early after intermission before using a decisive 15-0 run over a 4:10 stretch to take a 72-46 lead on a lay-in by senior Oneil Morgan (Kingston, Jamaica) with 10:05 remaining in the contest. The host Skyhawks (13-8, 8-8 Northeast-10) closed back to 17 points with an 11-0 run of their own over a three minute stretch, but the Setters restored their 26 point advantage with a 9-0 run capped by a Williams three-pointer with 4:59 remaining, building that margin to 30 points in the closing minute of play.

Morgan added 20 points and nine rebounds for the winners, who also received a double-double effort of 13 points and 10 rebounds from junior Desmond Quincy-Jones (Rye, N.Y.). Junior Maurice Douglas (Waldorf, Md.) and sophomore Randy Wilson (Peekskill, N.Y.) each added eight points for Pace, which shot 55 percent from the field overall and held a 43-32 rebounding advantage while converting 21 Skyhawk turnovers into 26 points on the afternoon.

Senior Lance Clarke (Cambridge, Mass.) led three players in double figures with 22 points, six assists and five rebounds in the setback for Stonehill, which also received 17 points and nine boards from sophomore Nick Smith (Colonia, N.J.). Sophomore Colin Scanlon (Centreville, Va.) added 10 points and eight rebounds for the Skyhawks, who also received seven points and seven assists from freshman Randall Stallworth (Toms River, N.J.). The hosts shot 41 percent from the field and connected for 11 three-pointers. Including six from behind the arc in the second half.

Stonehill will be idle until next Saturday afternoon when the Skyhawks host LeMoyne in a Northeast-10 outing at Merkert Gymnasium beginning at 3:30 p.m., while Pace heads to Rindge, N.H. on Wednesday evening to take on Franklin Pierce in a Northeast-10 contest that tips-off at 7:30 p.m.
