The Game
Stonehill returns home looking to put an end to a run of five-straight losses as it hosts the University of New Haven, among teams receiving votes in this week's AFCA Division II poll, for a Northeast-10 Conference battle on Timothy J. Coughlin (COG-li), '80 Memorial Field at W.B. Mason Stadium this afternoon. The Skyhawks are coming off a 38-10 setback at rival Bentley on Saturday, while the Chargers have won their last six after a big 27-21 decision over Assumption College on Saturday.

Welcome Back Alumni!
The Stonehill football program welcomes back its Alumni from its 48-year history, dating back to the club era, this afternoon for its annual Alumni Day.

Split Allegiences
New Haven head coach Chris Pincince is a 1994 graduate of Boston University, but his two brothers, Tom and Jon Pincince, both graduated from Stonehill. Tom, a 1997 Stonehill graduate, was a quarterback on the football team and still ranks seventh all-time with his 2,411 career passing yards and 24 touchdown passes. Jon is a 1999 Stonehill grad.

He's Honored
Junior defensive end Nate Bresson (Torrington, Conn.) earned a spot on the Northeast-10 Conference's weekly honor roll for his efforts at rival Bentley on Saturday. Bresson posted a career-high 12 tackles (eight solo), including a career-best 4.5 tackles for a loss of 16 yards, and a career-high 2.5 sacks for a loss of 14 and a QB hurry.

End Zone Crew
Juniors Andrew Jamiel (Yarmouth, Mass.) and Brian Kearns, Jr. (North Arlington, N.J.) both continue to move up Stonehill scoring charts. Jamiel ranks second all-time in program history with his 23 career touchdown receptions - just two shy of Nate Robitaille '15's career record of 25. Kearns, Jr. ranks second on the program's career rushing touchdown mark with 20 - four shy of Eddie Vachon '11's career mark of 24 rushing touchdowns. Jamiel (23) and Kearns, Jr. (22) rank fifth and seventh, respectively, for career touchdowns scored in program history, a record held by Vachon (34).

Disciplined
Stonehill ranks second in the NE10 and ninth nationally in Division II for fewest penalty yards per game, giving away 39.9-yards per game on 5.0 flags per game, which ranks third in the NE10 and 13th nationally.

Movin' On Up!
Junior running back Brian Kearns, Jr. (North Arlington, N.J.) ranks sixth on Stonehill's career rushing yardage list with 1,706 yards on 358 attempts in 25 career games played. He enters today's game with a team-high 680 rushing yards on 148 attempts, with a team-best eight touchdowns. Kearns, Jr. ranks second in the NE10 and 33rd nationally in Division II for rushing touchdowns, while ranking second among NE10 leaders for attempts and third with 97.1 yards per game (36th nationally).

A-Bresson of the Situation
Sophomore defensive lineman Nate Bresson (Torrington, Conn.) leads the NE10 and ranks 12th among NCAA Division II leaders with his career-best 13.0 tackles for loss this season, totaling 54 tackles (27 solo) overall. He is just 2.5 shy of cracking the program's single-season top ten.
