The Game: Stonehill College closes out the regular season as it hosts Assumption College for Senior Day at Timothy J. Coughlin Memorial Field at W.B. Mason Stadium this afternoon. The Skyhawks are looking finish their season on a winning note with a second straight winning season after posting a 23-16 triumph at Saint Anselm last weekend in the "Battle for the Ol' Bronze Hawk." The Greyhounds try to bounce back from a tough 30-24 overtime setback to Bentley last weekend.

Saluting Our Seniors: Stonehill will recognize its 15 seniors and families prior to this afternoon's game. This year's class has won 21 games over their career so far, winning a share of the Northeast-10 regular season championship as juniors and an appearance in the NE-10 Championship game for the first time. Playing their final regular season home game today are: Corey Bacigalupo (Gardner, Mass.), Dante Brito, Jr. (New Haven, Conn.), captain Lucas Brum (Farmingville, N.Y.), Sterry Codrington (Freehold, N.J.), Joe Della Vecchia (Stratford, Conn.), Ryan Handy (Howell, N.J.), captain Brian Harrington (Rockland, Mass.), Mike Hogan (Westborough, Mass.), Tom Linden (Durham, Conn.), Nate Morris (Bristol, R.I.), Zaire Reiph (Norwalk, Conn.), Nate Robitaille (Attleboro, Mass.), Taylor Russell (Keene, N.H.), Eric Schneider (Ventura, Calif.) and Brandon Weiss (Freehold, N.J.).
What's Next?: Stonehill can finish as high as the No. 4 seed in next weekend's Northeast-10 Conference Championship Weekend or as low as the No. 6 seed. Stonehill would clinch the No. 4 seed with a win today and would travel to either New Haven or LIU Post for the 3rd place game next Saturday. A loss would mean the Skyhawks would face Saint Anselm in a rematch of last week's game and would be at home if St. Anselm loses to New Haven or back in Manchester with a Hawks win over the Chargers. If Stonehill hosts next weekend, the game would be played on Saturday, November 15, at 5 p.m.

Reading More Than the Playbook: A program record three members of the Stonehill football team have been named to the Capital One Academic All-District football team for Super Region 1 in Division II, as selected by College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) members in the region. Senior All-American linebacker Brian Harrington (Rockand, Mass.), junior safety Anthony Masucci (East Haven, Conn.) and sophomore tight end Colin Smith (Ipswich, Mass.) all earn Academic All-District honors for the first time with their first team honors. Stonehill's three selections are the most in program history, surpassing the previous high of two in 2007 and marks the first time the Skyhawks have had multiple first team selections. The trio is among eight Northeast-10 Conference representatives on the first team – the most of any NE-10 program. Harrington has earned a 3.30 cumulative GPA as a criminology major, with Masucci achieving a 3.58 GPA while majoring in finance and Smith is an engineering major with a 3.77 GPA. The three are now eligible for Academic All-America honors, selected by CoSIDA's Academic All-America committee.
Against the Greyhounds: This afternoon marks the 27th meeting all-time between these two programs. Stonehill holds a 20-6 advantage in the all-time varsity series between the two which dates back to the Skyhawks first varsity season in 1988, having won the last seven encounters, nine of the last ten and 11 of 13 after a 41-38 overtime triumph in Worcester, Mass., last season. Stonehill is 9-3 all-time at home against Assumption, including a 3-1 mark here at W.B. Mason Stadium. Head Coach Robert Talley is 7-0 in his career against the Greyhounds.

Rookie of the Week: Stonehill freshman quarterback Matt Foltz (Mount Joy, Pa.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference and USA College Football Division II Rookie of the Week for his efforts in leading Stonehill to its 23-16 win at Saint Anselm on Saturday. Foltz steered the Stonehill offense in his collegiate debut with 199 total yards and played a role in all three touchdowns in the win as he completed 13-of-16 passes for 175 yards and two touchdowns, while adding another 24 yards and a score on ten carries, posting a 214.38 passer rating. It marks the second time this season a Stonehill player has earned Rookie of the Week honors in the NE-10 after junior linebacker Peter Catal (Cornwall, N.Y.) was cited following the Skyhawks 33-0 win at Pace in week seven.
They're Honored: Stonehill seniors Sterry Codrington (Freehold, N.J.), Nate Morris (Bristol, R.I.), Nate Robitaille (Attleboro, Mass.) and Taylor Russell (Keene, N.H.) were all named to the Northeast-10 Conference's weekly honor roll on Monday for their performances at Saint Anselm on Saturday. Codrington led the defense with 11 tackles (five solo), including 3.0 for a loss of eight yards, while Morris posted eight stops (five solo), a forced fumble and pass breakup. Russell rounded out the defensive honorees after registering five tackles (two solo), including 1.5 for a loss of ten yards, 0.5 sacks, a pass breakup and blocked kick.

Record-Breaking Robitaille: Stonehill senior wide receiver Nate Robitaille (Attleboro, Mass.) further etched his name into the Stonehill record books on Saturday surpassing former teammate John Gomes '13 career records for receptions (173) and receiving yards (2,442), having already broken the career record for receiving touchdowns with his 23rd career touchdown catch at LIU Post on week six. Robitaille, who also holds the program's single-season records for receptions (91), yards (1,229) and touchdown catches (13) set in 2013, has now posted a record 179 receptions for 2,543 yards and 25 touchdowns.
Movin' On Up: Members of the Stonehill football team climbing the career record lists at Stonehill include:
• Colin Markus (Monroe, Conn.): 7th on career rushing list with 1,506 yards (63 shy of Rob Olivar for 6th all-time)
• Nate Robitaille (Attleboro, Mass.): Tied for 2nd for total touchdowns scored with 26 (tied with Rob Olivar for 2nd, 8 shy of Eddie Vachon's '11 record of 34); 3rd for career all-purpose yards with 3,356 yards (35 yds behind John Gomes '13 for 2nd all-time).
• Gordon McLeod (Weymouth, Mass.): 6th on career receiving list with 1,311 yards (463 yards behind Kevin Adamson, '93 for 5th); 10th for career receiving touchdowns with 10 (one shy of Glen Lidstrom for 7th).
• Brian Harrington (Rockland, Mass.): 8th on career tackles list with 267 (3 tackles behind Jason McGilvery '93 for 7th, 5 behind Richard White, '98 for 6th all-time and 10 behind Brian Driscoll '91 for 5th).
• Sterry Codrington (Freehold, N.J.): Enters today's game nine tackles shy of 200 for his career.
November Reign: Since head coach Robert Talley took over the program in 2007, Stonehill is 11-5 in the month of November after last weekend's 23-16 win at Saint Anselm. The three losses are to American International in the final game of 2007, as well as the 2013 NE-10 Championship, at Bentley to close out the 2010 season and against Southern Connecticut State in 2012 on NE-10 Championship Weekend.
D-FENCE!: Stonehill leads the Northeast-10 and ranks 10th nationally for total defense, allowing just 288.0 yards per game. The Skyhawks also lead the NE-10 for scoring defense (37th nationally) for scoring defense at 19.7 points allowed/gm, passing defense (36th), while ranking second for rush defense (17th) at 103.0 yds allowed/gm.
Great Catch: Senior wide receiver Nate Robitaille (Attleboro, Mass.) is the only receiver in program history to surpass 1,000 yards in a season when he posted a school-record 1,229 receiving yards in 2013 to lead the NE-10. He enters today's game ranked second in the Conference with his 834 yards receiving (24th nationally) as he looks to post just the second 1,000-yard season in his collegiate swan song. Robitaille also ranks sixth in the NE-10 for receptions (55) and seventh for yards per catch (15.2). He also ranks second in the NE-10 (38th nationally) with 139.2 all-purpose yards per game and leads the NE-10 (34th nationally) for punt return average (10.8 per return).

Carrying the Load: Despite missing the better part of the last four weeks, junior running back Colin Markus (Monroe, Conn.) still leads the Northeast-10 with his team-high 633 rushing yards, ranking second for attempts (131), fourth for average per carry (4.8 yds/rush) and sixth for touchdowns (5). He has established career-high rushing attempt totals twice this season, breaking the W.B. Mason Stadium record for a Skyhawks runner and also posting two attempt totals in the top five all-time in program history. He had a career-best 34 rushing attempts for 111 yards against New Haven in week five after carrying the ball 32 times for 113 yards in week four against Merrimack. His 34 attempts against New Haven are the third-highest single game total in program history, while Mike McSharry, '98 (43) holds the program single-game mark.
No Fly Zone: The Stonehill defense leads the NE-10 for passing defense, yielding 185.0 yards per game. The Skyhawks limited Bloomsburg to an NCAA Division II low 13 passing yards in week one as the Huskies completed just 3-of-18 passes, including a long of seven yards. The Skyhawks have broken up 33 passes this season, led by senior Nate Morris (Bristol, R.I.) with seven to rank fifth among NE-10 leaders. Morris has also posted three of the Skyhawks ten interceptions this fall, ranking fourth in the NE-10.
Academic Success: Stonehill College has been recognized for its academic performance with regard to graduation rate by earning a 96-percent Academic Success Rating (ASR) as released by the NCAA last week. The ASR considers the academic success rate of the institution based on the graduation rate of student-athletes while also giving credit for any student-athletes that transferred from the institution while in good academic standing. In addition to Stonehill's overall ASR of 96%, 12 of Stonehill's 16 athletic programs (cross country and indoor and outdoor track & field are combined by the NCAA) received perfect scores of 100%. Stonehill's 96% ASR ranks third among NE-10 institutions and ranks eighth overall in NCAA Division II. The football team has an ASR of 90% - signifigantly higher than the federal rate of 73%. Stonehill earned the NCAA Division II Presidents' Award all three years of its existence for having an ASR of 90% or higher.
