EASTON, Mass. (October 10, 2016) – Nicole Borofski (Plymouth, Mass./Plymouth North), of the Stonehill women's cross country team, was named Northeast-10 Athlete of the Week for the fourth time this season, as announced by the league Monday.

The senior earned her fourth-conference accolade of the season as she was crowned the New England Champion out of the 234 competitors in the varsity division. Borofski clocked in at 17:28.7 and it was a career best, as she finished almost 10 seconds in front of the runner-up from Northeastern University. The Plymouth, Massachusetts native became the first Skyhawk cross country runner to win the championship in Stonehill's history. She helped the team to an eighth-place finish, tallying 220 points.

Stonehill will take some time off as it prepares to host the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Saturday, October 22 for its Purple and White event.
