2008 graduate of Whitman- Hanson Regional High School. Four-year letterwinner, serving as captain junior and senior year. She was Boston Herald cross country all-scholastic as a senior. Atlantic Coast League All-Star in both cross country and track. Four-year letterwinner in indoor and outdoor track, serving as captain both teams senior year. Team MVP as a junior in cross country and indoor track. Team MVP as a senior in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track.

Born on December 12, 1989 in Weymouth, Mass. Daughter of Sheila and Ken Alves of Whitman, Mass. Has one brother, Richard (22). She is majoring in Psychology at Stonehill.
