Volleyball to Host Free Clinic Feb. 6th

EASTON, Mass. (January 23, 2013) - The Stonehill College Volleyball team will hold a free skills clinic on Wednesday, February 6th to honor National Girls and Women in Sports Day.

The Clinic will be split into three sessions for several different age groups. The first session will take place from 3:30-5:30 p.m. for girls in 6th-8th grades. The second session is for 9th-12th grade girls from 6:00-9:00 p.m. The final session is from 9:00-11:00 and will be for all Stonehill College female students.

The skills covered will range from basic passing and hitting techniques to advanced attacking and defensive schemes. The coaches will emphasize technical development, good sportsmanship, and a positive attitude.

In addition to these clinics, Stonehill Volleyball will hold other opportunities for skill improvement:

-Ace's Girls is a weekly program for 3-5th graders to mentor and educate young girls in both physical and mental wellbeing, while introducing fundamental volleyball skills.

-Stonehill Volleyball Camp is held this summer on August 5-8th (Skills camp) and August 9-12th (Elite camp).
