EASTON, Massachusetts (February 18, 2020) – The Stonehill College women's track and field freshman Haley Lightbody earned her third Northeast-10 Conference Field Rookie of the Week award, as announced by the league Tuesday.

At the Boston University David Hemery/Valentine Invitational on Friday, Lightbody executed another great mark in the pole vault. She placed 12th overall out of 37 competitors as she cleared a height of 11 feet, 6.25 inches. This was her second-best height of the season, as she cleared 11 feet, 7.75 inches two weeks ago at the New England Indoor Track & Field Championships as she earned her first-career All-New England honor.

Her season best still sits atop the NE10 performance list leading into the NE10 Indoor Track & Field Championships this week.

The Reading, Massachusetts native earned her first NE10 weekly honor as she cleared a height of 11 feet, 1.75 inches at the URI Sorlien Memorial Invitational in the third week of the season. She then assisted the team to a second-place team finish at the University of Southern Maine meet after competing in both long jump and pole vault.

The Stonehill women's squad was recently voted No. 1 in the NE10 Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll, receiving eight first-place votes. The Skyhawks will compete in the two-day NE10 Indoor Track & Field Championship this Thursday and Friday at the Reggie Lewis Track Center.
