Dexter and Stracqualursi Earn NE10 of the Week Honors

EASTON, Mass. (May 1, 2019) – The Stonehill College women's track and field saw senior Olivia Dexter and freshman Krista Stracqualursi earn Northeast-10 Conference weekly honors, as announced by the Conference on Wednesday.

Dexter collects her first individual honor this season, as she took the titles of the 100-meter and 200-meter runs at the 12th Annual Skyhawk Invitational this past weekend. The senior clocked in a time of 12.16-seconds in the 100-meter dash. Currently she is ranked first in the Conference with her season best time of 12.05-seconds from the Ocean State Invitational.

Dexter ran a time of 25.21-seconds in the 200-meter dash at Stonehill's home meet collecting her fourth individual title this season overall. The East Calais, Vermont native is currently third on the NE10 performance list with her season best time of 24.83-seconds form the Ocean State Invitational.

The senior is a 14-time All-Conference team member, a 10-time All-New England honoree, and a 14-time USTFCCCA All-East Region selection over her four-year career. She is a 2015 graduate of Union-32 High School in East Calais, Vermont and competed in track & field as a sprinter and jumper.

Stracqualursi earned her second outdoor weekly honor as she finished fifth in the discus throw at the 12th Annual Skyhawk Invitational this past weekend with a measurement of 125 feet, 7 inches. She also placed eighth in the shot put with a toss of 38 feet, 10.25 inches, while competing in the hammer throw for the first time finishing 18th with a mark of 103 feet, 6 inches. Her mark in the shot put was a personal best throw for this season.

Currently she is ranked ninth on the NE10 performance list with her personal best mark from the Skyhawk Invitational. She is also ranked fourth in the discus throw with her personal best measurement of 130 feet, 4 inches from the Holy Cross Invitational and 21st in the hammer throw.

She earned her first NE10 recognition the first week of April when she qualified for New England's in the discus throw.

The Tewksbury, Massachusetts native is a 2018 graduate of Tewksbury Memorial High School where she competed in track & field.

Stonehill will open its championship season this weekend, when it competes at the NE10 Outdoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Southern New Hampshire University, at Penmen Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Friday and Saturday, May 3-4.
