Women’s Track & Field Sends Three to David Hemery Valentine Invitational

Three seniors compete at Boston University invitational Friday 


Caiazzi finished 42nd in the 800-meter run

BOSTON, Massachusetts (February 8, 2019) – The Stonehill College women's track & field team saw three individuals compete at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Friday, February 8, hosted by Boston University at the BU Track & Tennis Center.

Senior Olivia Dexter finished fourth in her heat with a time of 25.12-seconds in the 200-meter sprint, taking home 26th-place overall out of 223 competitors.

Senior Krista Fernandes placed 43rd out of 172 competitors with a time of 57.23-seconds in the 400-meter run. She also ran in the 60-meter hurdles, clocking in a career best time of 9.41-seconds, finishing 20th of 27 competitors. 

Senior Jillian Caiazzi clocked in a time of 2:14.51 in the 800-meter run, finishing 42nd of 197. 

Stonehill returns to the track tomorrow as they compete in the URI Coaches' Tribute Meet, hosted by the University of Rhode Island, at the Mackal Fieldhouse in Kingston, Rhode Island.
