Northeast 10 Indoor Track & Field Report: Week 4

EASTON, Mass. (January 17, 2017) – Stonehill College women's track and field freshman Anna Lastra (Bridgton, Maine/Fryeburg Academy) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Track Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Monday.

Lastra opened up with her first collegiate indoor track and field meet on Saturday, January 14 at the Beantown Challenge, hosted by Harvard University. The freshman posted a personal best time of 5:10.95 in the mile run finishing eighth in the 20 runner event. The Bridgton, Maine native finished behind seven Division I institutions including UMass Lowell, Harvard, UMass Amherst, Northeastern, and Rutgers. This was also the third best time in the NE10 this past weekend. 

Stonehill competes at the URI Sorlein Invitational next on Saturday, January 21 with an 11:00 a.m. start time at the Mackal Fieldhouse in Kingston, Rhode Island.
