It marks the fourth straight year Stonehill has had a player reach the B-Singles final, with Leah White and senior Paige Frost (Brigantine, N.J./Holy Spirit) winning the event in back to back years in 2009 and 2010, respectively, before Jennifer Denyes was a finalist in 2011.

Toegemann opened the event with an 8-3 victory over Goldey-Beacom College senior Melanie Bonomo in the first round. She topped Saint Michael's College senior Jean-Marie McGrath 8-4 in the second round before defeating Chestnut Hill College freshman Iman Williams-Musela 8-5 in the third round. Toegemann posted an 8-4 victory over Goldey-Beacom senior Vanessa Leon in the quarters before advancing to the finals with a walkover in the semifinals after Molloy's Tatiana Rajaona withdrew.

Toegemann also teamed up with senior Chelsea Haedrich (Islip, N.Y./Islip) to reach the quarterfinal round of the B-Flight Doubles bracket before having their run ended by teammates Frost and freshman Bailey Paradiso (Birmingham, Mich./Marian) 8-3.
