EASTON, Massachusetts (September 21, 2019) – The Stonehill College women's soccer team, who is ranked No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches' East Region poll, fought past Le Moyne College for a 3-1 Northeast-10 Conference victory, their fifth-straight win of the season and third-straight NE10 victory Saturday morning on Skyhawk Field.

Stonehill's (5-1, 3-0 NE10) senior Nicole Geraghty, sophomores Megan Giambanco, and Camryn Thompson recorded the goals, while junior Kayla Henry assisted Geraghty on her goal.

The Skyhawks held possession for most of the first part of the game, until the Dolphins saw Lainey Foti strike the ball inside the 18-yard box. The ball ricocheted off a defender sending it to the back right post putting Le Moyne up 1-0 at 8:05. Stonehill sat back for some time and defended play as Le Moyne continued with possession. About 11 minutes later, the Dolphins were called for a foul right outside the box on the left side, as Henry sent an inswinger to the front right post for Geraghty to slip the ball over the line for her third goal of the season and 12th of her career at 19:33, tying the game at one, 1-1.

At the end of the first half, Stonehill outshot Le Moyne, 19-7, as the Dolphins recorded nine saves. The Skyhawks once again this season scored two goals in a short amount of time. In the 57th minute, Le Moyne was called for a penalty inside the box, and Giambanco took her first-career penalty kick, hitting it off the front right post for a goal at 56:06 for the Skyhawks first lead of the game, 2-1, and the sophomore's second goal of the season. Three minutes later, Thompson maneuvered past defenders to tuck the ball inside the front right post for her third goal of the season and 12th career tally at 59:01. Stonehill remained active in their attacking third, as they continued firing away to outshoot Le Moyne, 31-14.

Stonehill travels to Colchester, Vermont for a NE10 battle on Tuesday, September 24 as they face Saint Michael's College for a 3:30 p.m. matchup.
