EASTON, Mass. (October 31, 2015) – Senior Meagan Elliott (Norton, Massachusetts/Norton) scored her first career hat trick on senior day as the Stonehill College Skyhawks defeated the Le Moyne College Dolphins, 4-0, in Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) action at Skyhawk Field this afternoon.

Prior to the game, Elliott was honored for her contributions towards the Stonehill College women's soccer program. The senior was the only member of her class and responded on her special day, scoring three goals to power the Skyhawks past Le Moyne.

Elliott opened the scoring in the 12th minute, collecting a pass from freshman Madalyn Fernbach (Plainview, New York/Plainview JFK) and burying a shot into the lower right corner of the net. Junior Andrea Mancuso (Highland Mills, New York/Cornwall Central) doubled the Skyhawk lead in the 65th minute. Sophomore Taylor Shannahan (Mendham, New Jersey/Morris Catholic) dribbled down the right wing and sent a pass to Mancuso on the top of the box. Mancuso received the pass and hammered a shot that dipped under the crossbar and into the upper left hand corner of the net.

Moments later at the 71st minute mark, Elliott provided the insurance tally for the Skyhawks as she dribbled past the keeper and slotted the ball into the open net for her second goal of the game. The Norton Massachusetts native completed her hat trick in the 89th minute when freshman Meghan Thomasch (Westford, Mass. / Westford Academy) found Elliott on the right side of the box, and true to form, Elliott placed the ball into the left corner of the net to finish the scoring on the afternoon at 4-0.

Junior goalkeeper Jaime Block (Georgetown, Massachusetts/Georgetown) turned aside one shot in the game to record her fifth shutout of the season. Le Moyne senior goalkeeper Tori Corsaro (Liverpool, New York/Liverpool) made nine saves.
