SYRACUSE, N.Y. (September 20, 2014) – Stonehill College, ranked seventh in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) East Region Poll, extended its season-opening unbeaten streak to five with a 0-0 draw against Le Moyne College this morning in Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10) women's soccer action at Ted Grant Field.

Sophomore goalkeeper Jamie Block (Georgetown, Massachusetts/Georgetown) registered her third shutout in five matches this season, making five saves along the way. Block's 0.57 goals against average so far this fall currently ranks third in the NE-10, while her three clean sheets are also good for third in the league.

Le Moyne junior keeper Tori Corsaro (Liverpool, New York/Liverpool) recorded her fourth shutout of the season (2nd in NE-10) without making a single save, as none of Stonehill's 11 shots were on target. The Skyhawks did have six corner kicks to Le Moyne's three, however, including five in the opening 45 minutes.

Three of those corner opportunities in the first half came in a span of 43 seconds from 25:31 to 26:14, but they yielded just a single shot by junior forward Meagan Elliott (Norton, Massachusetts/Norton).

Le Moyne's best chance to break the deadlock came in the 90th minute, when freshman forward Kirsten Colgrove's (Athens, Pennsylvania/Athens) shot struck the post with just 49 seconds remaining in regulation.

Stonehill (4-0-1, 2-0-1 NE-10) will look to stay undefeated on Wednesday, when the Skyhawks travel to Rindge, New Hampshire to take on Franklin Pierce University at 7 p.m. in an NE-10 contest. Stonehill then returns home to host the University of New Haven next Saturday, September 27th. Le Moyne (3-3-1, 1-1-1) is back in action on Tuesday afternoon at Ted Grant Field against New Haven.
